Ninette de Valois had various haircuts during her career. She was widely recognized as an excellent ballet dancer, choreographer, librettist, ballet master and writer. Nevertheless, the British dancer, teacher, choreographer and director of classical ballet was mostly known for her special public appearances and her likable personality. Before her tragic death at the age of 103 she was again and again featured in the press due to her exceptionally hair and looks.
